Spring Lake has a long boardwalk with no stores on it, a spring-fed lake in the middle of town, and street after street of big Victorian and shingle-style houses.
Those houses have deep porches, bay windows and high ceilings. In daylight they’re bright and airy. At night, high ceilings swallow light, so we bring it down to where people sit: sconces, lamps, a fixture over the table that suits the house.
Most outdoor work here is porches, gardens and the walk toward the beach. Warm and soft fits the town. Salt air is hard on fixtures, so we use coastal-rated ones. We also work with shops and inns.

Spring Lake FAQ
How should a wraparound porch be lit?
Several small, warm fixtures along the length beat one bright one by the door. Put them on a dimmer if you sit out there.
Will outdoor fixtures corrode near the ocean?
Cheap ones will. Brass, copper and coastal-rated finishes last.
Do you design lighting for inns and bed and breakfasts?
Yes. Guest rooms, common rooms and the porch out front.
