A view only works at night if the room isn’t reflecting in the glass. We plan interiors with that in mind: low, warm light near the windows and brighter light deeper in the room.
On a hill, the steps and drive have to be safe. Then a little light on trees or rock and a lit terrace. All of it shielded, so the view stays open.
