Alpine sits on top of the Palisades, with Palisades Interstate Park running along the Hudson below. The houses are mostly large estates set far back on wooded land.
At this size, lighting has to work as one system. A double-height hall, a gallery wall, a dining room for twenty: each needs its own light, and all of it should run from a few simple scenes. We plan the statement fixtures, the architectural light and the controls together, and work alongside your architect and interior designer.
An estate can mean a gate, a long drive, a motor court, a pool terrace and formal gardens. We light the arrival first, then the architecture, then the garden, and keep the light from spilling into the woods around the property.
